Getting started
- Open the app and follow the walkthrough to enable the extension in Settings, under Apps, Safari, Extensions.
- Browse Archive of Our Own or FanFiction.net in Safari as usual.
- Tap the buttons under a story to mark it. Open the app to see your lists.
Frequently asked questions
- Where is my data stored?
- Everything stays on your device, in Safari's extension storage and the app's private storage. Nothing is sent to a server. See the privacy policy for details.
- Can I sync between devices?
- Not currently. Your marks are stored per device.
- How do I export my library?
- Open the app, go to Settings and tap "Export library." The share sheet lets you save the file or send it wherever you like.
- How do I enable the extension?
- The app includes a guided walkthrough. If you skipped it: go to Settings → Apps → Safari → Extensions → Fanfic Tracker and turn on Allow Extension, then set both sites to Allow under Permissions.
