Fanfic Tracker does not collect, transmit, sell or share any personal data. It has no accounts, no analytics, no advertising and no third-party services, and it makes no network requests of its own.
When you mark a story or an author in Safari, the app saves that mark on your device: the site, the story's or author's public id, title or name, link, your status (In Progress / Completed), your rating (Like / Dislike) and the time you marked it. It also saves the highlight colors you choose. This information is kept in Safari's extension storage and in the app's private storage on your device. It is not synced and the developer cannot see it. If you use iCloud Backup, iOS may include the app's data in your own device backup, which is controlled by your Apple account settings, not by the app.
The Safari extension runs only on archiveofourown.org and fanfiction.net, only to add its buttons and highlights to the page you are viewing. It does not read or store story text, and it does not send page contents anywhere.
On Archive of Our Own, the Download button opens AO3's own download link; Safari saves the file to the location you chose in Settings. The app does not receive or keep the file.
"Export library" creates a copy of your own marks and opens the share sheet. The file goes only where you send it.
The optional tip jar uses Apple's in-app purchase system. The app never sees your payment method, and no purchase data is collected or stored by the developer. Apple's own transaction records apply; see Apple's privacy policy for details.
Deleting the app removes everything it stored.
